Presidents Message

Today many organizations use portfolio management techniques to determine the type of business they want to pursue or what IT project investments to make. Project portfolio management incorporates an added dimension to this approach through the use of project management disciplines and ongoing governance to ensure that the project investment portfolio is meeting its desired objectives. Project- Portfolio groups, views, analyzes, and manages projects together to maximize positive business results within an organization’s resource constraints.

Project portfolio management is a blend of management disciplines that combines a focus on business management, a focus on general management and a special focus on project management. This is holistic approach and it recognizes that the portfolio’s health is affected by the knowledge and experience of the portfolio management team.
There is a lot of information, knowledge and experience about Portfolio- Program- and Project Management to share with many professionals in different industries.

The IPPMF is a platform for all these professionals around the world to share their knowledge and to realize these same benefits
